About Ulla-Maaria Mutanen | Ulla-Maaria Mutanen works in the Education Department of the University of Helsinki in Finland. There she studies new forms of design and product development work. She is especially interested in recommendation-based markets for art, design and craft. Thinglink.org is her newest endeavor, an open database where makers can register free product codes, “thinglinks”, for their work. Creator of the HobbyPringcess blog, she developed a Crafter's Manifesto that could just as easily be read as a call for makers to unite.
