A lot of e-mails came through over the weekend as well as Monday and yesterday. Some of you might have gotten my "vacation message". I was actually on funeral leave for my wife's grandmother. Because of this I had little to no time to respond to messages that came in during my absence. Dylan and Jon may have responded to you. If no one has replied to your inquiry, rest assured you are not being ignored. I have been working through my considerable backlog of e-mail this morning. Please bear with me as it will take a bit to finish.
After every new site launch there is always a period of adjustment. Many of you have noticed that some previously existing features are not on the new site. We will be addressing the bugs first and then deciding if feature requests should be implemented once the site is working well.
A few people asked for the "forward this manifesto" link that was on the old site which we've purposely omitted. We figure everyone out there is pretty smart. If you want to e-mail something to a friend or colleague you are probably more familiar with your e-mail client of choice than with whatever we put together. If you're looking to reach a wider audience we highly recommend you use Twitter or Digg to spread the word. Both services have badges on each Manifesto page.
We will be adding the download PDF link again. Originally we omitted this as well because all embedded PDF viewers offer an icon that will download the PDF for you. If your browser is correctly loading the PDFs in the browser you can keep an eye out for that icon. Usually a down arrow or something along those lines. Many Mac users with Safari or Chrome are unable to view the embedded PDF. We think this is an issue with the latest version of Adobe Reader because Mac computers without Adobe Reader installed can load the embedded PDF in Safari just fine. I will try to find a solution to this problem but before the end of the day today, manifesto landing pages will have a download PDF link.
For those of you who are submitting proposals we are getting them. We have an approval process in place and Dylan is in charge of making sure those are approved or declined as necessary. He should be getting to those very soon.
There is a lot more on my list this morning and I will get to it all in time. Thank you for your patience and I hope you are enjoying the new site!
